THE 1st ITALIAN QUEER TANGO MARATHON

9th Edition

In Rome from the 20st to 22rd of  March 2026, three days of intense queer tango!

​

​

Tango queer Roma a.s.d., in the amazing setting of the eternal city, organizes a three-day meeting dedicated to the queer tango, with internationally renowned artists and DJs.
Halfway between the festival and the marathon, it will take place as follows:

Friday 20th

​

Fom 18:00 to 21:00 will take place 2 single level workshops held by Augusto Freeman e Gustavo Gomez.​

Class topics:

​

1 – AXIAL SYSTEM, VERTICAL SYSTEM:

Specific training for axis control and dynamic balance in tango, milonga, and waltz.

2 – CIRCULAR TECHNIQUE:

Execution of sacadas and turns starting from the joint dissociation of the embrace, hip, and pivot.

​

At 21:00 the buffet dinner will be served.​

From 22:00 to 4:00 the milonga will take place.​

​​​​​​Saturday 21th

​

From 17:00 to 5:00 the milonga will take place with 3 different djs taking turns. 

At 21:00 the buffet dinner will be served.​

Sunday 22th

​

We'll open at 13:00 with brunch, so we can keep dancing until 21:00.

3 different djs will be playing.

Where we will dance:

​

Primo Piano - A large loft at our disposal at Via Tiburno 33, located near the Tiburtina railway station, where the trains from Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) and Ciampino airports arrive.

 

 

The marathon is only by reservation and limited: we want to be many, but also feel good!
